These outdoor areas can be hired for a range of sports, including basketball, 5-a-side and netball. The areas can be hired with or without floodlights.

Class descriptions

Women’s fitness hour
A ‘women only’ session involving a warm up, followed by a session using Cardiovascular and weights machines in the gym.

Body Blitz
An Aerobics class that combines fat burning with self defence actions.

Body conditoning
A fitness class with a difference - using different types of exercises including weights to enhance the body for an all over workout.

Legs, bums and tums / Super circuit
A popular session with the ladies, this class targets these three muscle groups. Incorporated into the class is super circuit, a circuit class incorporating aerobics with a variety of exercises for an ultimate workout.

Gym training (special needs and recovery session)
This session is ideal for people with disabilities or those recovering from injury or serious illness. Users can enjoy quality time in the gym with an instructor on hand to offer help and advice on training programmes.

Push and lift
A strong workout to greater improve your shape. It is an aerobic work out with the use of weights that you select yourself. 

Traditional circuit training
A mixed fitness session combining exercises and weights for a total body workout, to suit all ages and fitness levels.

Summer skate school
Choose between a six week course or a drop in introduction to roller skating - open sessions.

Ages: 8-18 year olds
Date: 27 July-4 september 2009
Time: 2pm-4pm (daily excluding Bank Holiday Monday)
Cost: £6.50 per hour (including skate hire)

These fun filled group classes are suitable for children aged 8-18 of any ability level. Complete beginners are welcome but all skaters must be able to stand and roll unassisted in order to attend the class. No level of proficiency is needed and we expect most skaters to have trouble stopping.

Using games and rolling activities we will guide the students will be taken through the basic skills of inline/quads skating, ensuring they have lots of fun and plenty of movement and master many of the essential skills whilst preparing them for the intermediate Courses. We will focus on skate safety,learn starting, stopping, gliding, striding, squatting, marching, scissors,crosses, backwards and more, and giving them a variety of exercises to support their learning.

Participants can attend these sessions daily or on a drop in basis during the eight days.

Bookings in advance required for all sessions.

Activity descriptions

Football sessions
Children of all abilities will have the opportunity to learn and improve their football skills. Both sessions start with skills and drills and each session finishes with a fun football match.

Basketball sessions
Come along and enjoy our fun basketball session from beginners right through to improvers. Including skills, drills and matches.

Mini tennis sessions
10am-11am 5-7 years and 11am-12pm 8-10yrs. 

Active teens - gym sessions
Improve your health, strength and fitness by joining the gym. Our active teens gym membership is available to young people aged 14 to 16 years. To become a member of the gym you must complete a gym induction. All induction sessions are supervised by qualified instructors, who will offer guidance and advice on training programmes suited to your needs.  Induction cost: £6.90 (£4 JLP) one-off fee. (This membership does not include use of free weights ).

Womens fitness hour
Come along to our women only fitness class held in our gym.

Traditional circuits
You’ll use a variety of equipment from dumbbells to punch bags with exercises to improve your fitness and stamina.
A circuit class incorporating aerobics and a variety of exercises for an ultimate workout.

Legs, bums and tums
This class concentrates on toning your body for a complete workout.

Step and Tone
A different type of step class using a variety of exercises to tone the whole body.
