Disabilities

Active Ealing help to organise activities and competitions for people with disabilities of all ages and abilities.  The aim is to provide activities and facilities that are accessible to everyone.

Active Ealing also support local voluntary sports clubs with information about funding, promotion and making clubs and sports sessions more inclusive and disability friendly.

Competitions

Active Ealing run a calendar of sports competitions for young people with disabilities attending SEN schools in the borough in partnership with the two School Sport Partnerships (SSPs).  SSPs are groups of schools working together to develop PE and sport opportunities for all young people.  Competitions include:

Each year the London Borough of Ealing enters The Balfour Beatty London Youth Games Competition.  Young people with disabilities and special needs can compete in football, boccia, athletics and swimming against competitors from across London.

Athletics

Perivale Panthers

Junior Panthers  
Ideal for children who want to get their first taste of athletics. The emphasis is on fun and enjoyment, learning about how the body works and the skills associated with all the different athletics events.

Senior Panthers 
Senior sessions give young athletes the chance to develop skills associated with different running, jumping and throwing events with the opportunity to train and compete in upcoming events.

An athletics club with members of mixed ages and ability (from beginners to international athletes).  They offer training on track, field, road and country.

Multisport sessions

PACE
A voluntary organisation promoting the inclusion of young disabled people into sports and leisure activities. It offers a range of inclusive sports and activities
for young disabled people aged 13 to 25 years and their friends/siblings.

It also provides training opportunities for its members and supporters to develop sports leadership skills with a view to leading sessions.

London Sports Club for the Blind
The London Sports Club aims to promote and organize sporting activities for blind and partially sighted people. Its members take part in sports including football, cricket, swimming and ten-pin bowling.

Sportability
