There are also some agreed improvement opportunities that the regeneration programme will aim to address:

Decent Homes
Improvement works under the decent homes programme have been put on hold until the future of the estate has been decided. To keep the existing blocks in good order essential repairs will be carried out throughout the regeneration period.

The regeneration project will take ten years to be completed. The council, working with Ealing Homes, will ensure that during this time existing homes are kept safe and secure.

Ealing Homes has put together an essential repair works programme for the estate.  This is currently being agreed on with the resident association (SARAG).  The programme will include works to replace life expired elements of buildings and security improvements based on recommendations made by the independent Safe Neighbourhoods Unit (SNU).

Any programme of regeneration will be subject to statutory leaseholder consultation and must be cost effective, offering value for money.
