Locata Home - applying for a home through the council

Rather than the council or a housing association finding and allocating you a property, people who are on the council’s housing or transfer registers will become a member of Locata Home. This membership will allow you to search for a suitable home yourself and gives you more choice about where you want to live, including the option of moving out of Ealing to four other boroughs.

The way available properties are being advertised has changed.

All vacant homes are advertised every fortnight on the Locata website. If you do not have internet access at home you can access the internet for free at any of the borough’s public libraries.

Properties will also be advertised in the council’s reception area at Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road, Ealing W5 2HL. Advertised properties are open to bids from existing council tenants and from people on the housing register.

You can use the LocataHome website to bid for suitable vacant properties. Each advert gives details of who is eligible to bid for that property. These adverts should be read carefully to check you are eligible for the property you want to bid for, for example:
