Rent
assessments
A Assured Shorthold Tenant can request the
London Rent Assessment Panel to
review their rent to see if it is a reasonable market
rent. They can make a request when they move in to a property
or when their landlord proposes a rent increase. If the panel
finds that your rent is actually lower than a reasonable market
rent it may go up.
