Local Development Framework consultation
How does Ealing consult on the LDF?
Ealing Council seeks to involve and bring together
people with a wide range of interests and perspectives on future
planning in Ealing.
The arrangements for LDF consultations are set out in the
Statement of Community Involvement and the
official work programme and timetable for development plan
documents is set out in the
Local Development Scheme.
You can see the latest consultation documents and, if
appropriate, make comments on them here. You can also view
previous consultation documents.
When is the next consultation on Ealing’s LDF going to take
place?
The next scheduled consultation starts on Friday 17
September 2010 and will end on Tuesday 30 November 2010.
Full details are provided below.
What documents will you be consulting upon?
We will be consulting upon the following documents
and these will be available to download from this page once the
consultation starts:
-
LDF Development Strategy 2026 (Final Proposals) - sets out
the spatial vision and proposals for the future development of
the borough.
-
LDF Development Sites (Initial Proposals) – sets out the
planning requirements for those key sites with significant
development potential.
-
LDF Development Management (Initial Proposals) - seeks to
guide decisions on planning applications where no provision has
been made elsewhere (e.g. the London Plan) and where, because
of the unique characteristics of Ealing we feel a more
distinctive approach needs to be taken.
-
LDF Infrastructure Delivery Plan - sets out plans for
strategic physical and social infrastructure requirements over
the plan period e.g. healthcare, transport, education,
utilities and how they will be funded and delivered.
-
Ealing’s Future for Transport: Local Implementation Plan
(LIP) - sets out how Ealing proposes to implement the Mayor of
London’s Transport Strategy (MTS) in its area, as well as other
locally and sub-regionally important goals. A LIP is a
statutory document, prepared under Section 145 of the Greater
London Authority Act 1999.
-
LDF West London Waste Plan (Initial Proposals) - Ealing
alongside five other west London boroughs (Brent, Harrow,
Hounslow, Hillingdon and Richmond upon Thames) have joined
together to identify possible sites for managing the area's
waste until 2025 and will give priority to waste reduction,
recycling and composting. It will be part of each borough’s
Local Development Framework.
What is the timetable for the consultation?
-
The consultation will start on Friday 17 September
2010.
-
The consultation on Development Strategy and Local
Implementation Plan will end at 5pm on Monday 1 November. (This
allows for the minimum six weeks consultation period provided
for in the LDF regulations. This will ensure any
representations made can be processed and final submission
proposals drawn up by the end of January 2011).
-
The consultation on Development Sites and Development
Management will end at 5pm on Tuesday 30 November 2010. (This
allows for over 10 weeks consultation. Because of the volume of
papers being consulted upon it is considered appropriate to
extend the consultation period to allow for greater opportunity
for feedback and enable a greater variety of activities and
events to be organised).
Please note: Consultation arrangements in respect of the West
London Waste Plan have not yet been finalised but are very likely
to coincide with the above timetable at least in part. Details of
the consultation timetable will be published shortly.
