Insulation

Loft insulation

By putting in 8 to 10 inches (20-25cm) of loft insulation you can save up to 25% off your heating bills.

Cavity wall insulation
If you own or live in a property built after the mid-1950s it probably has cavity walls, which lose up to 33% of the heat you are paying for if they are not insulated.

You can get a grant towards the cost of insulation work, whatever your income.  If you are aged over 70 or receiving certain benefits and either own your home or rent privately we may be able to arrange for insulation work to be installed free of charge. For more information or to book a free assessment you can telephone 0800 587 2251 or book online at www.londonwarmzones.co.uk. Assessors may call at weekends and will never enter your home under any circumstances.

** Costs for loft insulation may vary for lofts that are part insulated with more than 60mm of insulation. Installing loft insulation to the government standard in a loft with existing insulation of less than 60mm will provide more energy savings and therefore we can offer a larger contribution to the cost.
