There are a range of discounts and grants for homeowners or private tenants. If you are in receipt of benefits you are entitled to some free energy-saving measures. Boiler scrappage scheme
The new scheme offers £400 to residents towards replacing their old, inefficient boilers (rated ‘G’ or worse) with an A-rated one to save on energy and reduce bills. For more information on the government scheme, visit the Energy Saving Trust website.
