Untaxed vehicles
Untaxed vehicles which are removed by the council are taken to the council's car pound. The car pound is located at Brent Crescent, North Circular Road, NW10.
It will cost £100 to reclaim your car or motorbike. Vehicles
cannot be released until the payment is received. The charge
increases to £200 plus £21 per day storage after the first 24
hours. After your payment has been processed an appointment will be
made for you to collect your vehicle. For heavy goods vehicles, the
charges will be higher.
When collecting your vehicle from the pound, you will
need:
- documents to prove ownership and proof of address
- a valid tax disc

If a tax disc is not produced, a £160 surety must be paid before the vehicle is released. (For heavy goods vehicles, this charge will be higher) This will be refunded after the vehicle is taxed within 14 days of release of the vehicle.
