Ealing's homelessness strategy
The
homelessness strategy 2009-2014
(word) sets out our commitment to tackling homelessness, its
causes and its effects by focussing on partnership working and
early intervention to improve the range of housing options offered.
As well as tacking homelessness itself Ealing is committed to
tackling the causes of social exclusion and enhancing the quality
of life of homeless households in the borough.
Allocations policy
The
allocations scheme (pdf) explains the
rules by which council housing is distributed to provide
housing for those most in need. It was agreed by councillors
in 2010 and will be implemented during the following
months.
Empty Property Strategy
Our
Empty Property Strategy (pdf) sets out how we
can bring empty properties back into use to improve the
environment, reduce nuisance and increase the supply of decent and
affordable housing for households in housing need.
Ealing Supporting People Strategy
The
strategy (pdf) sets out how Ealing will develop
supported housing services to best meet identified need.
Housing Strategy for Older People 2007-2010
The
Housing strategy for Older People
2007-2010 presents a framework for the council and its
partner organisations in the future delivery and provision of
housing advice and services to elderly residents living in the
borough.
Housing Needs Survey - executive summary
DCA research were commissioned to carry out a housing study
for the London Borough of Ealing. The study was designed to
assess the future requirements for both affordable and market
housing.

Private Sector Housing Condition Survey
The Private Sector Housing Condition Survey was carried out
in 2004 by Fordham Research Company on behalf of the council
and published in 2005. For the survey a combination of a physical
survey of dwellings and a short socio-economic interview of
inhabitants were carried out achieving a total of 993
responses.
