Caterers
External caterers are welcome at all our venues. The hospitality and events team are currently compiling a list of accredited caterers for the venues. In the meantime, the caterers listed below are all familiar with the venues and may be able to assist in the planning of your event. Please contact them directly to discuss your requirements.
Please note that for all events that require the service of hot food, you must use a caterer who can provide the following:

evidence of £5million public liability insurance

a copy of their most recent environmental health report

a copy of their health and safety policy

their training records
-
a copy of a risk assessment for working in the specific venue booked
If you prefer to use a caterer not listed below, please discuss your choice and the documentation required with an Event Manager.

Bar provision/supply of alcohol
If you are planning to provide alcohol at your event free of charge to your guests, you are welcome to make your own arrangements either through your caterer or other supplier. In this instance, please notify the Event Manager of those arrangements.
If you wish to charge guests for alcohol at your event, you are required to use one of our bar suppliers. They will ensure that all conditions of our premises licence are adhered to and will provide a Personal Licence Holder to oversee the service.

Alternatively, it may be possible for your caterer to oversee the sale of alcohol if they can provide a Personal Licence Holder for the duration of your event. Please discuss with your Event Manager.
Technical services
If you require use of any of the stage lighting at the venues or wish to use the inbuilt PA system in the Victoria Hall, you are required to book our inhouse technician. Please ask your Event Manager for contact details.
If you wish to bring in your own audio visual/ sound suppliers, you are welcome to do so. Please provide your Event Manager with full details. All electrical equipment being brought to site must display a valid PAT (Portable Appliance Test) certificate or stamp.
