Head to West Ealing Family Day

Published 18 September 2012

Drumming, apple pressing and magic are some of the ingredients for the West Ealing Family Day on Saturday 22 September.

Fun day in West Ealing

Organised by West Ealing Neighbours, West Ealing Traders Association and London Farmers’ Markets and supported by Ealing Council, the event runs from 9am to 4pm.

It includes West Ealing Farmers’ Market in Leeland Road, a craft market, children’s activities and magic shows in St James Avenue; and the chance to climb St John’s Church tower for great views of west London.

Try a variety of foods and watch live music on Melbourne Avenue and pop along to Canberra Road, at the side of Sainsbury’s, for community information and more food. There will be children’s football organised by St John’s Church in Dean Gardens from 1-3pm.

The farmers’ market runs from 9am to 2pm. The majority of other events run from 10am to 4pm.

Councillor Julian Bell, leader of Ealing Council said: “This should be a fun day for all the family and is a great example of what can be achieved when residents and traders join forces with the council.”

David Highton, Chairman of West Ealing Neighbours said: “This is our third Family Fun Day and we think there’s something for everyone, so please come and join us on the 22 September and see for yourself.”
