Half term activities to keep the kids busy
Published 31 January 2012
The borough’s libraries, sports centres and parks will open their doors to hundreds of children over the schools’ half term holidays.
A helpful Schools Out guide of activities taking place in the councils sports centres during the school break is now available to download. Ranging from craft workshops and sports sessions, to bouncy castles and trampolining, the guide covers all kinds of childrens activities to keep the kids busy.
Greenford, Southall and Perivale libraries are also holding special craft sessions during the week, including some special Valentines Day events on Tuesday, 14 February.
Councillor Julian Bell, leader of the council, said: We are committed to encouraging young people to engage in sports and use the boroughs parks and leisure facilities more. With so many great activities taking place, its the perfect opportunity to get the kids involved in their local sports centre, or to join a library and have some fun.
