Nelson Room

The former Council Chamber, this elegant room is grandly decorated with vaulted oak arches, a mahogany fireplace and oil paintings. The room provides a stylish space for small lunches/dinners for up to 60 guests and is ideal for meetings for up to 80 people.

An annex room and servery area at the rear make this a popular choice for corporate meetings and training as well as corporate entertaining.  Licensed for civil wedding/partnership ceremonies, this makes a very attractive alternative to the Ceremony Suite managed by the Registrars team at the east end of the Town Hall

Capacity: 80 theatre style layout, 60 dining, 35 exam desks.

Dimensions: 11m x 7.5m (36ft x 25ft) - see floor plan. 

Facilities: small kitchen, portable stage* and PA*, projector*.
