Ealing

As a town centre, Ealing has a lot going for it. Ealing is situated in the heart of West London with good transport links to Heathrow, central London and beyond.

It has:

• a large population - many of whom live within walking distance of the shops
• a good quality townscape
• and land available for development

It is entering into an exciting period of change. We've drawn up ambitious plans to ensure the town's future success and help it respond positively to competition from Richmond, Kingston and the West End, as well as major new retail developments at White City, Wembley and Brent Cross.

We aim to:

• build on the range and quality of the shops
• enhance the character of the town centre
• alleviate congestion and make it easier for people to get around

We also want to generate business and employment opportunities and realise the town's potential as a leisure, community and arts destination.

These plans are set out in our town centre development framework. The framework offers exciting opportunities for developers who want to work with us to ensure the town centre evolves to become a distinctive and successful place people will want to live in, work in and visit.
