Community safety team
The council's community safety team deals with all types of crime in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police Service and on behalf of the Safer Ealing Partnership.
It has responsibility for:
-
recording and dealing positively with all incidents of anti-social behaviour throughout the borough
-
co-ordinating a positive and effective response to all incidents of domestic violence and the provision of the correct services to victims and offenders
-
co-ordinating a unified response to the investigation of hate crime in all its forms, and for identifying resources and services for victims and witnesses
-
alley gating across the borough, with a dedicated officer who deals solely with such issues relating to crime and disorder
It also works to ensure community development and integrated cohesion among all communities throughout the borough of Ealing.
