Your local job centre can also give recruitment advice and will advertise positions in the local centres free of charge.
If you employ anyone, you are required to have employers liability insurance and to display the certificate ( Employers Liability Compulsory Insurance Act 1969, pdf).
You also need to display a health and safety law poster (Health and Safety Regulations, 1996; Safety Representatives and Safety Committees Regulations, 1977). Criminal records checking service
As a registered body with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) the council can carry out criminal records checks on behalf of non-registered organisations this is called an umbrella service.
