Other funding streams and support

Ealing Council funds a number of programmes for local VCS organisations. Examples include 

  • 2023-27 VCS funding programme - This programme is joint funded by the council and NHS and provides £2.39 million per annum, in grant funding to Ealing’s VCS to deliver services which help meet the council and NHS priorities. A full list of the awards is available.
  • Warm spaces funding 
  • Community climate grants programme - Ealing’s community climate grants programme is intended to help community organisations contribute to the borough net zero target by 2030 by making energy efficiency improvements, leading to lower carbon emissions. 6 organisations received a total of £59,427.87 for projects to improve the energy efficiency of their buildings
  • Household support grant - Voluntary sector organisations have been awarded grants to enable them to better support their communities with cost-of-living related services, information and advice. A total of £200,000 was made available in 2023-24.
  • WL NHS have provided £236k of funding for projects to support mental health in Ealing with awards being made to 14 local organisations.
  • Laptops and data - A total of £140,000 was used to purchase 240 laptops and 100, 12 month data packages to support residents who were digitally excluded and unemployed to help them back into employment. This programme has been running since summer 2022 and all laptops were distributed by December 2023.
  • Hardware for VCS organisations - £20,000 was allocated under the Ealing Civil Improvement Fund to provide funding for hardware to Voluntary Sector Organisations to increase their capacity to support residents transact online and access digital services. In March 2023, VCS organisations were invited to bid for up to £1,000 per organisation.
  • ReKlaim project - Ealing Council provided EHVCS with 1,100 retired surface devices for recycling and redistributing to Ealing residents who are digitally excluded plus £30,000 towards the resource required to deliver this project.
