 You can change the band of your property if one or more of the following applies:

• a mistake was made and your home is in the wrong band. You only have the right of appeal for a period of six months after buying, leasing or renting your home
• your home goes down in value because part of it is demolished or there have been physical changes in your area which could affect the value of your property
• you have made changes to your home for a person with a disability
• if you start or stop using part of your property for a business
• if you have appealed and it is agreed that the band is wrong
