Local Implementation Plan Annual Progress Report

The council presents an annual submission to Transport for London (TfL) seeking funding for the following financial year and reporting on its progress towards the Mayor of London’s transport targets.  The submission is called the Local Implementation Plan Annual Progress Report or LIP APR.

The LIP APR is divided into two parts:

The LIP Funding Submission is presented in June each year for funding in the following financial year.  The allocation is announced in December and is typically around £4.5M.  TfL have a strict criteria against which they assess the applications from the borough and the allocation reflects the Mayor’s transport priorities.  Therefore a large portion of the funding we receive is to improve road safety and improve bus journey times.
