Graffiti

The council provides a free graffiti removal service for council-owned (lights, signs, street furniture) and residential properties. The service is now offered free to businesses.

To request graffiti removal you will need to provide the following information:

  • tag information (a tag is the signature of the graffiti vandal)
  • type of wall eg brick, pebbledash etc, and colour of wall if painted
  • type of graffiti eg silver spray paint, colour of tag
  • location eg side wall, on garage doors, rear of premises etc
  • access to the location

You are also able to report graffiti on non-council property such as bus shelters, public transport or stations. Information on graffiti removal and prevention is also available. Graffiti is a criminal offence and should be reported to the local Police on (020) 8810 1212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
