Controlled parking zones (CPZs)

Controlled parking zones (CPZs) are introduced when local residents and businesses have difficulty parking.

Residents, businesses and visitors can park in marked parking bays by displaying a valid parking permit or visitor voucher.

Motorists who want to park for a short time can use pay-and-display bays, or in some cases stop-and-shop bays.

Penalty charge notices (PCNs) are issued to any parked vehicle that does not display a valid permit, dispensation or voucher during operational hours.
