Bridges and subways

Ealing Council is responsible for some of the bridges and subways in the borough.

Foot bridges
There are many foot bridges in the borough. The majority cross railway lines and are maintained by London Underground Ltd or Network Rail. Ealing Council maintains the footbridge over the Ruislip Road near the former Taylor Woodrow site, a number of foot bridges in its parks and two over the Grand Union Canal; one near Endsleigh Road and the other at Havelock Road Southall.

Defects to the steps and bridge decks can be reported to the customer services team:

Road bridges
Ealing Council maintains the road and pavement on most road bridges but many are maintained by London Underground Ltd, Network Rail or the British Waterways Board.

To report defects in the road or pavement, please complete reporting a defect form (word) and email it to customers@ealing.gov.uk. Alternatively, please call (020) 8825 6222 (0800 1800) or (020) 8825 5000 (after hours)

Subways
Ealing Council maintains the subways at Greenford Road, Mandeville Road and Merrick Road. Defects in these subways may be reported to the customer services team by completing a  reporting a defect form (word) and email it to customers@ealing.gov.uk.
