What is Ealing Change for Children?
What is Ealing Change for Children?
As a result of the Children Act 2004 and the Every Child Matters: Change for Children agenda, services for children and young people, throughout the country, are going through the biggest change for a generation.
The agenda is designed to improve the outcomes for all children and young people from 0 to 19 years of age and it promotes better co-operation and joint working between all services for children, young people, and their parents and carers.
The government's aim is for every child, whatever their background or their circumstances, to have the support they need to achieve the following five outcomes:
At a local level this places a duty on Ealing Council and its strategic partners, to work together and to share information to achieve these outcomes.
All services in Ealing that affect children and young people including early years settings, schools, colleges, GP practices and health services, youth services, social care, specialist support services and voluntary organisations have a crucial role to play in implementing these changes.
