Feedback from Southall town centre meeting

A public meeting was held in Southall on Wednesday 2 July 2008 to talk about the proposals for £1.976 million investment into Southall town centre. This is part of the council’s £15 million regeneration investment programme across the borough. About 85 people came along to have their say.

Short presentations on the proposals for improvements to Southall town centre were made by Cllr David Millican (cabinet Member for regeneration and transport) and by Brendon Walsh (director of property and regeneration).

After the presentations people talked in groups about one of five theme groups. People were asked to tell us their top priorities for regeneration under the five themes.

Theme groups:

Theme 1: Retail and town centre
Theme 2: Transport and parking
Theme 3: Housing, public realm and community
Theme 4: Employment and local economy
Theme 5: Community services and education
