Town centre and area regeneration

We believe that the borough’s town centres should be truly central to our lives and the focal point of our communities - thriving places where we enjoy living, working and shopping. Places that can instill a shared sense of local pride and attract business and jobs.

Our aim
We aim to:

We also want to generate business and employment opportunities and realise the borough’s potential as a leisure and cultural destination.

Ealing is entering into an exciting period of change. The council has set aside over £10 million to start an extensive programme to revamp every town centre in the borough: Acton, Ealing (including West Ealing), Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall.

In 2007 Ealing Council commissioned a number of town centre and key site studies (Acton, Southern Gateway, Ealing and Southall) to inform council policies and strategies for regenerating the borough. The reports are now available for your information.

Printed copies will be available for reference in libraries in due course.
