Active Family membership

The Active Family membership is a value for money membership that offers families the opportunity to enjoy a range of gym, fitness and sports activities together. It is available at Dormer Wells Leisure Centre and Southall Sports Centre.

You’ll soon see the benefits of leading a healthy and active lifestyle. Not only is it a great way to spend quality family time together, but it can be a great way to meet new friends too.

Why not share a game of badminton, table tennis or football during Active Family time, or while the children are kept active you can enjoy a fitness workout or a relaxing sauna/swim.

The membership includes:

  • for adults - unlimited use of the gym, fitness classes, sauna use or public swim sessions
  • for under 16s:
    - free Active Kids** and Active Teens** sessions during Active Family time*
    - free access to public swim sessions and adventure swim (?)
    - 10% off Active Kids* and Active Teens* courses
    - 10% off holiday activities
  • a family induction which includes a lifestyle and fitness assessment, tour of the centre, and training on gym equipment for 13 year olds and above
  • free healthy lifestyle family advice sessions
  • information about the benefits of taking part in physical activity, and having a healthy, balanced diet (timetable available from the centre’s reception)
  • discounts on all Active Family activities or competitions

*Active Family times: Mon-Fri 3.30pm-6pm and Sat–Sun 3pm-6pm
**Active Kids activities are for 4-12 year olds, and Active Teens activities are for 13-16 year olds.
