Woodlands Art Show
11 July - 20 July
PM Gallery & House are delighted to present the
first exhibition of work by Sybil Elgar students.
Based in Acton, the Sybil Elgar School is a post-16 unit for
young autistic people. The school has a strong arts ethos,
particularly in performing and visual arts. Working with teaching
staff and each other, students have produced an exciting range of
work.
Chris Bogle Retrospective
1 August - 17 August
This retrospective is a celebration of the life and
work of local artist Chris Bogle (1972 - 2007). A resident of Acton
all his life, Chris attended Acton High School and the London
School of Printing. He was an active and positive member of Acton's
community through his passion for art. His creative legacy in the
form of murals and artwork can still be seen throughout Acton. This
exhibition includes Chris's graffiti art and planetary
paintings.
Champions Elect
21 August - 31 August
In celebration of London hosting the Olympics in
2012, Active Ealing and Edward Lee, a local photographer from
Ealing London Independent Photography, have been following the
gruelling training regime of 5 Olympic hopefuls - several of whom
live and train in Ealing.
These champion-elects are portrayed in their training
environment and these photographs focus on the determination and
resolve required to achieve their dreams of competing in the London
Olympics.
The Studio exhibition space
The Studio is available for locally based
exhibitions and as an education space for schools and community
groups.
If you are an artist, group of artists, school or community organisation, living or working within Ealing, and you are interested in exhibiting, please contact Lee McCulley, Education and Learning Programmer on (020) 8825 9808 or lmcculley@ealing.gov.uk for further information.
Exhibitions should be ready to hang and exhibitors will be responsible for delivery, installation (with support from PM Gallery), insurance and collection of work. PM looks forward to working with Ealing's communities to showcase the wealth of creativity in our borough.
