Children receive Team Read medal
Team Read Medal Ceremony
Team Read was the sports theme of this year's summer reading
challenge when children were encouraged to keep reading through the
long school holiday.
If they read six books they received a certificate and a
medal. There were rewards for reading each book e.g. stickers,
activity sheets and small toys.
Children who completed their Team Read challenge in Ealing
received their medals at the West London Literary festival on
Saturday 6 September at Acton Green. They were presented their
medals by Natalie Durant and Charlie Turner who both hope to make
the Olympic Swim Team in 2012.
As well as their medals, winners also received a free swim
at any of Ealing's pools and a free book donated by Random House
Children's Books.
