If you think you may lose your home and you live in the borough, contact the housing advice service. What should I do if I become homeless?
Contact the homeless persons unit at the address above or telephone (020) 8825 5003 or 7389. They will provide information and advice and will arrange an appointment to see you. They will inform you what  are required for your appointment.

What help can I get if I am homeless?
Being homeless does not give you the right to a permanent council property. All offers of council accommodation and nominations to housing associations have to be made from the council's housing register. Housing advice or the homeless persons team will advise you on applying and the wait for permanent accommodation. There is strict criteria which determine whether you are eligible to join the housing register and what priority your application will have.
