Transport Strategy is responsible for traffic management and road safety issues within the borough. The team seeks ways to manage congestion and provide facilities for road users by planning traffic calming schemes.

Requests for traffic-calming measures can be made to the traffic planning team in writing. You will need to provide the following information:

Requests are prioritised on the basis of recorded injury accidents, traffic speeds, and traffic volume.  Funding, and the street's priority rating, determines the number of roads that can be treated annually.
