The council offers free advice on winter cycling and home cycle parking for individuals and community organisations. We can help with choosing a bike and suitable clothing and equipping your bike for use in wet or night-time conditions.
The council can sometimes supply metal bike stands or wall-locking rings (depending on budget availablity), but will not install them. The stands are free, while stocks last, if a need for one can be demonstrated. For companies, we can provide best practice advice on cycle parking and cycle facilities to promote cycling among staff and customers.
The council also offers on-road cycle training for children, adults and groups. Training is aimed at beginners or those who lack the confidence to ride on busy roads. Training is only available to Ealing residents. Each session costs £5 to residents that are in paid work. To book a course, contact Cycle Training UK on freephone 0800 093 6454 or complete their online book a lesson form.
