Commercial waste disposal

Businesses can weigh, unload by hand and dispose of commercial waste at the Greenford Road Re-use and Recycling Centre. Charges depend on the type of waste disposed and its gross weight.

Commercial rates
The following rates are charged for commercial waste disposal:

Regular business users are encouraged to set up an account this allows companies to pay for their disposal by monthly billing organised by Ealing Council.
To do this they will need to apply in writing on headed paper with the company name, billing address, nature of waste being brought to the site and any vehicle registrations.

Unloading commercial waste
Commercial users are not permitted to dispose of waste directly on to the floor. Waste should be unloaded manually into the containers provided.
Customers whose vehicles are not suited to manual unloading of waste should make arrangements to deposit waste at alternative West London Waste Authority (WLWA) sites:

Victoria Road Waste Transfer Station, South Ruislip Middlesex, HA4 0HD
Twyford Road Waste Transfer Station, Abbey Road, NW10 7DJ

Recycling discount rate for 100% recyclable commercial waste
As part of Ealing Council’s strategy to improve recycling levels at Greenford Re-use and Recycling Centre, a discount on the normal rate per tonne will apply for loads comprising 100% garden waste only (no trees, soil, fallen fruit or plastic bags).

The garden waste discount rate will be £45 per tonne (including VAT) (A minimum charge of £9.90 (including VAT) applies).

Conditions of discount rate:

contaminated loads containing anything other than the pure materials above will not attract the discount
all loads for which a discount is claimed must be pointed out to the weighbridge operator on entering the site
loads that have been separated on the vehicle into recyclable material (which otherwise meet all other conditions outlined here) may be approved for discount at the discretion of the weighbridge officer
the discount rate shall not be approved for any loads, which include any non-recyclable waste
all loads for which a discount is approved at the weighbridge must be unloaded into the correct recycling bays/receptacles under the supervision of the on-site waste segregation assistants or other site staff

These conditions and the discounted rate apply to both cash/cheque and account customers.
