Recycling at school

Ealing Council will provide you with a 240 litre wheelie bin or a large 1100 litre container that you can put all your paper for recycling into.  This container will then be emptied for free on a weekly basis.  The school could introduce a re-use initiative by getting pupils to bring in cardboard boxes that might have been thrown away and turning them into recycling boxes to put beside your photocopiers, printers and where most paper is generated.  You could even have one for each class!

Some high schools also have drinking cans in the school, which Ealing Council can collect for recycling too.  Please enquire using the details below.

The recycling team are happy to visit your school to talk about recycling, so please get in touch if you are interested.

Please email customers@ealing.gov.uk to sign up to this scheme or to find out more or call Ealing Council Customer Services on (020) 8825 6000.

Find out which day is your collection day (word). If your recycling has not been collected, please call Ealing Council Customer Services.

All Ealing schools can also request a free compost bin to start composting their fruit and vegetable peelings.  This will fit in well with any nature studies.  Just call Recycle Now on 0845 077 0757 to order.
