What are the re-use and recycling
centres?
There are three re-use and recycling centres in the
borough for the disposal of both refuse and materials for
recycling. A wide range of materials and household waste can
be recycled at these centres.
Materials are collected separately and you will find it easier
to divide items in advance.
Please dispose of materials correctly to help with the
recycling process. Follow the links to find out what materials are
accepted at each site.

I
have a large vehicle, do I have to use the
weighbridge at Greenford Reuse and Recycling Centre?
Yes. The weighbridge is a facility that weighs and records
commercial and household waste before disposal. All vehicles above
5’11” must pass over the weighbridge to the site due to height
restrictions. If you are a resident you must provide proof of
residency to the weighbridge operating staff in the form of a
utility bill and photographic ID. The staff will record the
weight of your materials against the 1.5 tonne resident annual
allowance.
When is the Greenford weighbridge open
and closed?
The weighbridge is open daily (including weekends)
and operates with seasonal trading hours:
1 April–30 September: 8am-4.30pm
1 October–31 March: 8am-3.30pm
Please note, the weighbridge closes 30 minutes before the
re-use and recycling centre closes. Due to height restrictions, all
large vehicles and vans must use the weighbridge to enter and exit
this site. Therefore these vehicles need to leave the re-use and
recycling centre before the weighbridge closes.
