How can I dispose
of household items I no longer want?
The special collection service is for residents who wish
to dispose of items that are too large or heavy for ordinary
household waste collection. Up to eight individual items can be
accepted in a single collection for £20. Collections will be
carried out within 10 working days of payment being received by the
council. Items must be available for collection from the front,
side or rear of properties and accessible at all times.
To request a special collection telephone Ealing Customer Service Centre or complete a special collections form (word).
Furniture and electrical items such as stereos, videos and microwaves, can be taken to the Greenford Re-use and Recycling Centre. Any furniture in good reusable condition can also be collected for free by some charities. To find out if your items are suitable, please call the Harlington Hospice on (020) 8759 0453 or email: info@harlingtonhospice.org. Alternatively contact Furnish Community Furniture Store on (020) 8969 3332 of email: furnish@sbha.co.uk or Acton Recycling on (020) 88961284. Note: all soft furnishing needs to have a fire safety label.
How can I recycle my mobile
phone/toner or ink cartridge?
These items can be taken any of the
Re-use and Recycling Centres.
