Drinking water

Complaints about the quality of your drinking water should be made to your water supply company. If the water company is unable to deal with your complaint, the council can act on your behalf. Tel: (020) 8825 6633.

Drinking water monitoring
Ealing Council is under a duty to keep informed about the quality of water supplied to premises in its borough.

Water companies supply their monitoring results to the pollution control team and meet with the officers to discuss recent results. There are two water companies supplying the borough. These are:

The government has set standards for drinking water which the water companies must meet. They are required to take samples, check that the standards are met and keep a public record of the results. The Drinking Water Inspectorate, are responsible for ensuring the quality of mains water in the UK.
