Frequently asked questions

Air pollution

In Ealing the main source of air pollution is traffic emissions. Significant amounts also come from residential and commercial gas use, industry, construction sites and emissions from outside London.  The borough was declared an Air Quality Management Area in December 2000 due to levels of particulates and nitrogen dioxide not meeting air quality objectives in many parts of the borough.
