All planning applications must be accompanied by a location plan which clearly identifies the site. It must show the property concerned with at least two adjoining properties and bordering roads. If a location plan is not included the application may not be accepted.
An ordnance survey map is satisfactory for this purpose, but you may also use alternatives. The location plan on a property's deeds/lease or one you have drawn yourself are usually acceptable as long as they provide enough information. A-Z style street plans are not acceptable.

Getmapping grants the end user a perpetual license as per
their terms and conditions of service, which is non-exclusive,

Please note:
The Ordnance Survey Map Return Scheme has in the past
permitted the council to supply extracts of OS mapping for planning
applications. The Map Return Scheme ceased on 30 September
2007. As a result the council has formed a partnership
with Getmapping to cover 1:500, 1:1250 and 1:2500
scale mapping for use with planning and building control
applications. Getmapping is a Licensed Partner of Ordnance Survey
reselling a range of OS mapping and is also a leading supplier of
aerial photography in the UK.
These will be available via our Getmapping partnership website and payment will be made online. If you are unable to order your maps online please telephone customer services on (020) 8825 5000.
