Complying with planning policy
If you are preparing a major planning application or project you should consider the policies in the Ealing Unitary Development Plan (Plan for the Environment) and the planning guidance notes (SPG and SPD) that accompany the plan.
Developers and others interested in development should be aware of the requirements of the council’s statement of community involvement (pdf). This covers community involvement in all aspects of town planning, and indicates how developers can contribute to this process. For detailed guidance on submitting planning applications please visit planning services.
Design and access statements
Developers are requested to provide information to the local
planning authority associated with the guidance listed below.
These are regarded as elements of the
design and access statements required before
registration of the planning application. Officers can
provide further advice on submitting this information. Once
completed, this information should be submitted with the proposal
at pre-application stage, and ultimately with the planning
application for decision. The information is intended to ensure
that proposals for development are consistent with national,
regional and local policies in planning for sustainable
communities.
