Dogs in parks
Dogs are welcome visitors to Ealing's parks and open spaces. In
the majority of our parks you can exercise your dog without
restrictions.
However, in some areas - the animal centres at Brent Lodge
and some wildlife areas - we do ask you to keep your dog on a lead.
We also ask you not to bring dogs into the fenced children's play
areas.
Please follow these guidelines when visiting Ealing's parks and open spaces with your dog:
- clear up immediately if your dog fouls. This is a legal
requirement under the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 and applies
to all parks and streets in Ealing. If you do not you could
receive a £50 Fixed Penalty Notice or be prosecuted
- you can use an ordinary litterbin or take the waste home and
put it in your dustbin. Please do not place in playground bins
- ensure that your dog wears a collar with your name and
address on it - this is a legal requirement under the Control of
Dogs Order and could be our only way of reuniting you with your
lost dog
- keep your dog under proper control as not everyone likes your dog as much as you do
Dog mess is unpleasant and is a health risk. With your help, we can make Ealing's parks pleasant places for people and dogs to enjoy.
