I witnessed someone flytipping, what can I do about it?

take details of the incident. If you do not wish to make a
witness statement or appear in court, you need to provide the

should I contact?
Report the matter to
customer services, who will report it as an
urgent removal. Provide any information on the person who may have
dumped it. The flytipping should be cleared within 24 hours. If the
rubbish is likely to cause an infestation of rodents, a notice
could be served on the owner of land, requiring them to clear
it.
Who deals with flytipping on the verge?
You will need to
contact customer services, who will send a
contractor to clear away the flytipped waste. If the problem is
ongoing, enforcement officers would investigate.
