Building Control can offer applicants and their agents some professional advice to help to submit a valid Building Regulations application. However, you may need your own independent adviser to help you provide sufficient technical information to gain Building Regulations approval.

Planning Portal
The Planning Portal provides information on Building Regulations legislation, approved documents, the approval process, exempt buildings and the Party Wall Act

The department responsible for regional and local government, fire, housing, creating better communities, planning, building control and the environment.

Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors 
A leading source of land, property, construction and related environmental knowledge. It can also provide details of local surveyors to help in the submission of your Building Regulations application.

The body responsible for enforcing and investigating health and safety on construction sites.

The national organisation representing local authority building control in England and Wales

The body representing building control for the London region. The website contains useful information on avoiding common construction problems
