Summary of special educational needs policy
St Gregory’s School recognises the need to
establish and maintain a whole school approach in identifying and
providing for children with special educational needs as defined in
the code of practice. Individual education plans are established
for pupils, which are reviewed and monitored regularly with
parents. Work is differentiated to meet the needs of pupils who may
be more able as well as those who are less able. The special needs
co-ordinator works closely with parents and involves other agencies
when appropriate.
