We are a small, friendly, successful multicultural school where we value the contributions made by all members of our community - teaching/support staff, children, parents and governors. Ofsted inspectors said the ‘school is well led, with a clear sense of purpose and drive. Everyone fully contributes to the shared vision for the school’s development.’
Ethos and values
We strive for high standards of achievement for all
children by building self-esteem/confidence. Children can see
themselves as successful learners utilising their skills, talents
and knowledge to the full. We want children to be independent,
responsible, respectful and caring, achieving their best as a
foundation for their future lives. Ofsted said ‘children like their
school’ and ‘because pupils learn with enjoyment and interest, they
work harder. Parents are happy and confident that staff care for
them well.’
Summary of special educational needs policy
Children with special educational needs are
identified early to ensure that their needs are effectively met
through good teaching, a cycle of target setting/review and
involving parents. Our Inclusion Leader manages provision for
SEN and takes specific pupil groups to develop
strengths/areas for development. We aim to develop good
attitudes to learning and our training concentrates on
teaching and learning strategies to include all children.
