Northolt High School prospectus information

Northolt High is a school with a mission. Our mission, from the day your child joins our learning community, till she or he leaves for university or a career, is to bring out the best in her or him. We believe in the potential of all our children. Year on year our examination results show that Northolt High has delivered on this promise

You want your child to have excellent teachers for every subject. On behalf of our students we recruit and retain the best teachers we can. Our teaching team is rightly proud of its reputation for ‘going the extra mile’ with all students to ensure they achieve their full potential.

Children in Northolt High School are happy and well-behaved. Students and staff work together in a friendly, well-ordered atmosphere. We insist on good discipline with high standards of attendance and punctuality.

One of the cornerstones of our two School Improvement Awards has been our strong partnership with families. We are committed to providing you with the information and advice you need to help your child.

At Northolt we see education as a continuous process from 11 to 19. We have a flourishing Sixth Form, offering a broad range of academic and vocational courses. We successfully prepare students for the most prestigious universities, including links with Cambridge and Oxford Colleges. We have set up the Ealing Diploma and Enterprise Centre to provide world-class training in health and beauty, construction trades and electronics. Students from Northolt High School go on to become the lawyers, accountants, doctors, business managers and skilled craftsmen or women of the future.

We provide the full National Curriculum. We motivate our students through trips abroad, links with industry, university visits and high quality work experience. There are after school clubs for homework and a wide range of sporting and artistic interests. Our special Technology College status allows us to provide extra opportunities in the subjects essential to a 21st century career – mathematics, technology and science. We also have state-of-the-art facilities through our City Learning Centre, which now has an industry standard television studio. We are uniquely placed to help your child benefit from computer-based learning tools

Our team is here to realise the potential of all students, regardless of race, culture, gender or disability. We see all students as individuals and work to meet their individual needs. Students with Special Educational Needs are supported by trained staff in classrooms and specialist provision.
