Admissions criteria
Applicants will be admitted to the school in the following
order of priority:
Casual admissions
The Admissions Committee will consider applications
for admissions at a time other than at the start of the School Year
in accordance with the school’s admissions policy.
Oversubscription criteria for casual admissions
Applicants will be admitted to the school in the following
order of priority:
In the event of there being insufficient vacancies to admit all applicants in all of the categories detailed above, priority will be given to children whose parents'/legal guardians' residential address is the shortest distance from the centre of the school site, as measured by a straight line. In those instances where applicants have the same priority on distance, the tiebreaker shall be random allocation.
Admissions policy for post 16 education (years 12 and 13)
a) Places in year 12 will be awarded in the following order of priority:
Pupils who were on roll at Greenford High School at the end of the academic year immediately preceding the proposed date of entry into the sixth form All other applicationsb) For all applicants, admission to the sixth form is dependent on the student meeting the specific requirements for his/her proposed level of studies as follows: please see our post 16 brochure for entry conditions.
This policy relates solely to transfers and applications for admission to the sixth form at Greenford High School.
Admission to the sixth form does not guarantee that students will be able to undertake any course of study for which they have expressed a preference.
