Youth centres

The centres provide programmes of group and individual activities, which encourage personal and social development for young people aged 13-19 (up to 25 for young people with disabilities).

Bollo Brook Youth Centre
This is a statutory youth centre in the South Acton Estate that specialises in arts-based youth activities, boasting extensive recording studio facilities and quality film making and photo editing equipment, which is used for a wide variety of projects with young people.  This specialist work is complemented by an extensive programme of socially educative, recreational and advice and guidance based activities.  The centre is also used for daytime programmes with young people who are not in mainstream education, delivered in partnership with other voluntary and statutory sector organisations.

Ken Acock Youth and Community Centre
As well as offering two generic youth work sessions a week, the centre provides a base for the Positive Activities for Young People (PAYP) project, which operates a holiday programme of sports and arts based activities for targeted young people, and the service’s health and crime reduction projects.

Visions Social Club for Young People
This centre has recently reopened.  The service provides two generic youth work sessions a week, while a further two sessions are run by the Lighthouse project.  The centre is also the base for the service’s participation project.

W13 Social Club for Young People
The centre focuses on inclusion work, providing a varied weekly programme including a session for young women and a music production and dance session.  It is the base for Ealing's youth and connexions service’s disability project; the project develops opportunities for young people with disabilities and provides support to individuals and groups.  The service also uses the centre as the base for its work on estates.

Young Adult Centre (YAC)
The centre provides a range of weekly youth work sessions, including an after-school club, a football project and a Somali young people’s project.  The service also uses the centre as the base for its new arrivals and NEET projects.  Other work at the centre includes daytime use by partner organisations and an ICT learning centre.
