If you are interested in working with young people and would like to apply to be a part-time voluntary youth worker please fill in the application form (word) and return either by post or email to:

You will need to make an appointment to see the youth and connexions officer to complete a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check and a medical questionnaire, which will be sent to our principal medical officer.
Please note: when attending the appointment you will need to bring with you a utility bill, passport and driving licence in order to confirm your address, date of birth and appearance. If you cannot provide this combination of evidence, please discuss when you make the appointment.
Initially, we encourage any enquirers about youth work to become volunteers, so that they can get an idea of what to expect. Volunteers are encouraged to take up locally organised training opportunities, which are nationally recognised. This experience and training should enhance prospects of paid employment.
