The youth and connexions service provides opportunities for young people aged 13-19 years (up to 25 years for young people with disabilities) to fulfil their potential through a range of challenging, creative, formal and informal programmes, which recognise their differing needs and encourage their personal and social development. The service also works with young people to help them overcome barriers and make an effective transition into adulthood. The service is an integral part of the connexions service for young people providing personal advisors to support young people in accessing jobs, training and education.
